1/21/2024 - Jimmy_D Likes this wine: 92 pointsThis is a banger. Lovely nose of blackcurrant, blueberry, pepper and wet stones (I hate that descriptor, but there you go!). The same fruit and slatey vibes translate across the palate. The 10% Shiraz adds the slightest peppery bite in what sits nicely in front of fine timber. The tannins very fine and tending to slinky. This stood out at the CD many moons ago, would buy again. |

5/18/2023 - chatters wrote: NROn tour with Tim and Phil day one (Canberra Districts and Beechworth): Popped and poured. Quite closed and needs time to open. Black hued fruit; berry; a little plum, a touch of meaty/gamey underpin and peppercorn here as well. Medium intensity acidity is juicy, fleshy, talc textured tannins persist long, the fruit proves more red hued on the palate and there is a slight hint of sourness on the finish. Hmm |

5/18/2023 - chatters wrote: NROn tour with Tim and Phil day one (Canberra Districts and Beechworth): Savoury, meaty, slightly reductive, surprisingly dark hued fruit, a little sour, slight whole bunch, herbaceous notes in support and a little sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity, a little splash of black hued fruit, cherry, then tight but relatively silky textured tannins start to close down the palate, a little fruit persists beneath this finish with a touch of jubey prettiness. Opens with time to show more jubey red fruit on the nose. Okay |
